Following the successful OGUK D&I webinar that took place in May, the Diversity & Inclusion Task Force has been on a mission to address some of the key questions and common themes that were highlighted from the more than 300 delegates.
The webinar offered a great opportunity to network – albeit virtually – and reflect on some of the challenges we found ourselves dealing with at the onset of the pandemic.
Following the webinar, we wanted to be able to continue the valuable two-way dialogue in order to accelerate our aims and dig deeper into areas such as flexible working, attracting and growing a more diverse skill pool, and encouraging the next generation of talent into the sector.
Through a series of recorded conversations with industry leaders, a new campaign titled “In Conversation With…” seeks to do just that. It picks up where we left off the conversation in the webinar and offers insight into what leaders see as critical factors to addressing diversity within their own organisations, and how we can all take action today in order to develop a diverse and inclusive industry that people want to be part of.
These aren’t always easy questions to answer or simple topics to address, but we have to continue to have the dialogue and shed a revealing light on the challenges we’re facing, so we can start to make a difference; to unlock the full potential of everyone, and to safeguard our industry’s future.
